Our experts say:
Confirm first with your family and friend if this date is fine with them. They may have family traditions to observe during this holiday. Also, Ask your officiant if it is okay to perform a wedding on Easter. Keep in mind that this is the holiest day of the year for Christians and some priests (Catholic priests particularly) will not perform wedding ceremonies during the Lenten season.
Getting married on a holiday also means there might be heavy traffic in your reception or wedding venue and if your ceremony is out of town, guests may have to pay much more for hotels or air fare.

If you do decide to venture off the couple’s wedding registry, we have some good advice for you.
- Do not give something monogrammed unless they specifically have one on their registry. It is impossible to return monogrammed items and it adds the unnecessary expense for you.
